Most likely, you'll have several questions before we start your project. Here's a few that we're frequently asked:

General Information

How long have you been in business?

We have been providing roofing services since 1995. Our reputation has been built on quality, integrity, credibility, and service. Ask for our references, and call a few of them. Most likely, you find that some of them are your neighbors. Then, call a couple other roofing contractors to get their references. You'll soon realize that Blackhawk Roofing enjoys the highest reputation of any roofing contractor in central Illinois.
Do you meet the legal requirements for licensing and insurance?

Yes.
Do you know, explain and comply with local building codes?

Of course! If your project is new construction, we can look at the blueprint and design plans, or visit the job site, to determine the best course of action.
Will you provide a free written estimate?

Yes, we will gladly provide you with a detailed estimate. Our estimate will include an accurate description of the work to be performed, and identifies any work that may have to be contracted out.

Will youg thoroughly clean up, remove all surplus material, and leave the area in the same condition you found it, when your crews are finished?

Yes.
Do you use quality materials?

Absolutely! We'll consult with you, to make sure you understand product warranties, plus UL fire and wind resistance ratings. Not all products are the same.
Will you clearly explain both the workmanship and manufacturer's warranty?

If possible, remove any breakable objects and art work, and store them in a safe location. Please have the furniture placed in the center of the room, and remove wall hangings from the walls. We can assist with this, if you need some help. We will cover the floors and furniture, to avoid any damage.

Johanna will discuss what type of base coating is required. In some cases it will be necessary to have an area prepared, prior to beginning the project. Any preparation requirements will be discussed and outlined beforehand.
How is routine maintenance handled?

Yes. We will clearly explain what you should do, if you have a problem after we complete your project.
How long does a project usually take?

Every project and every space is different. The difficulty will determine the exact length of the job.
When is payment due?

Final payment is due when the project is complete.
